Basic Aircraft Technology Course (BATCO)
This course is designed to equip participants with the fundamental knowledge, practical skills, and professional attitude required to carry out basic aircraft maintenance tasks in line with approved standards and regulatory requirements. By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Understand aviation fundamentals and the regulatory framework guiding aircraft maintenance.
- Identify aircraft structures and systems, including construction, function, and operation of key components such as power plants, electrical and electronic systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Apply maintenance practices to perform basic inspections, servicing, and repairs on aircraft in compliance with approved procedures.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using tools, maintenance equipment, and measuring instruments commonly used in an aviation workshop.
- Perform basic service and safety procedures while adhering to standard maintenance practices and safety requirements.
- Recognize the importance of technical documentation, including logbooks, manuals, and regulatory records, and apply them correctly in maintenance tasks.
- Understand human factors and Safety Management Systems (SMS) in aviation maintenance, emphasizing awareness of human performance limitations and safety culture.
- Develop professional competencies such as teamwork, discipline, and communication skills to meet organizational and industry expectations.
